Even though he's been around for a little while now, I discovered him a few days ago. And now I just can't stop listening to him. This guy is immensely talented, I am really loving all his stuff! Blues-rock at its finest. Bought his live album Live from Nowhere In Particular on iTunes, its freaking fantastic!

Some Joe, if you're not familiar (or even if you are :)

Any other fans? Anyone seen him live?

I'm a big fan of Joe's. The guy is awesome! I had the pleasure of seeing him live twice in 6 months here in the UK and he was stunning. Buy all his albums there are gems on each. Soon he's releasing a live CD recorded at the Albert Hall in London last year.

    Blues Deluxe is a must.

    Edit:
You can download the BBC recording he did earlier this year. I play this more than any of his other stuff. All legal.

I have seen Joe Bonamassa about 10 times. He is amazing. Seems like the line up in the band has changed a little. Looks like they have added a 2nd guitarist as of late. When I saw him last 2007??, they were still a 3 piece. I think the last tour I saw him on was the You & Me.

All his albums are really great. can't really go wrong with any of them. You and Me is pretty much a cover album though with like 3 originals.

He doesn't really tour the U.S. as much as he used to and so I haven't seen him in awhile cause he hasn't been back to Dallas or Houston for shows other than maybe a festival appearence.

some really good albums to start:

I second the blues deluxe reccommendation
So, it's like that (I got this one first)
    A new day yesterday.

I still need to get Black rain though.

Joe also used to come out and sign stuff after shows. Is he still doing that?

Unless my brain is muddled the band are now a 4 piece with a guy on keyboards. There wasn't a second guitarist at the 2 shows I saw. The guy can make the guitar talk.

You are right, so I stand corrected (It's a guy on keyboards). I just remember seeing you tube vids last year of Joe Doing a Zeppelin song (name escapes me right now). The first thing I noticed was that they weren't a three piece anymore. I haven't seen him since 2006 -2007.

His shows are also taper friendly I believe.
