I paid a pretty penny for it, but I just got the Dead Weather vault package last night and can't wait to get it on the turntable!

just join the vault and save yourself the $$$$..if you dont like what you get then sell it on for what you paid for it ..so your not a flipper. :P

I just wanna be able to listen to all that stuff. I don't "do" vinyl, so unfortunately an ultra-cool idea is rendered completely useless to me.

If you're not a collector of artefacts, I understand this.

If you love to collect a band's whole back catalogue as physical releases, then I don't understand this.

I:
a) can't afford to be a collector of anything other than my gig posters that I block mount and decorate my downstairs bar with (just snagged another QOTSA one I was missing today)
b) have no use for vinyl. I don't have a turntable. (I still have some, most PJ, two Tool and one Black Crowes that I'll be getting rid of)
c) am a recording musician, and being such takes up all my (and my wife's) extra money

Man The Vault has been throwing out good stuff since day one! It's a shame though that flippers will take them apart and sell pieces for tenfold, especially the live DW @TMR in color wax...what a shame. Music is meant to be played, not auctioned. That is why I have my triple-decker on heavy rotation, not on Ebay!

went to the Third Man store in Nashville this weekend...wow. they had a few of the vault exclusives, but they weren't for sale. they did let someone play the live Raconteurs LP, though. and the triple decker was pretty damn sweet. didn't buy any vinyl, but i did pick this stuff up:
