Some are born without luck, 1 wk out from my sis wedding

So long story short, my sis has battled a pretty bad illness for about 6 years now. But dealing with it ok, told she would never have kids, but she did. A beautiful boy.

Now about a week out from her wedding, a day at times she thought she would never reach, admitted to hospital, abdominal pains. Bam, appendix coming out tomorrow.

poor thing, can't take a trick. Last time she had an op, she reacted pretty badly to the anesthetic, so I just hope it is not repeated.

    Thanks again.

    I will be upset, cause I bought the best suit, I look a million bucks, and I'm hitting this next saturday up wedding crashes style, already got a room in a nice hotel booked..... So if it doesn't happen..... There will be trouble.


    But I know it will, too many good vibes coming her way.

    As long as the anesthesiologist knows what she reacted to it's likely all right. They now know how to manage her intraoperatively.

    She sounds like one strong girl!

    See the problem is she suffers from gastric paresis. Meaning, parts of her stomach and bowel are paralysed. So when she had the anesthetic last time, it really shut her down and took her a lot longer to bounce up. But she has been dealing with it pretty well of late. I think having her little boy has helped her push a long a lot. SHe has him to think of which is powering her along.

    I think she goes under the knife in an hour or so. I'm stuck here doing some stupid assignment so I can't be up there.

    8 days to the wedding, one sure way to lose a few kgs before the big day.
