got a new car today...

and the first song i hear on the radio driving off the lot is amongst the waves! its a good sign!
My favorite Pearl Jam song: "Corporate Greed Boat Asshole Behind a Counter in the Oval Office"

    great sign indeed! wouldn't it be great if there was a carmaker which had the option to buy an additional "Pearl Jam Edition" package

    Yes, that's right. That "New Car Smell" that everyone loves is actually not a good thing... what you are smelling is the adhesives setting and lubricants from manufacturing plants burning off... and it is actually quite toxic to the human body!

    Ha I bought a car 3 weeks ago and Alive came on during my test drive...which I also figured had to be a good sign.

    When looking to buy a car that costs $15-$25k I don't think I could bring myself to make such a major decision based on what song is on the radio when I test drive it.

    He didn't hear the song during a test drive - it was when he was leaving the dealership. Why all the hate? Seriously - you and the guy who posted about the dangers of new car smell should hang out sometime.

    Hell, in 1985 when I test drove MY first car, $250 for a 1972 chevy chevelle...lovely ole beast, first song on the AM only radio? Stairway to Heaven...it was MINE!! Of course for $250 for such a fine piece of machinery wasn't going to get away from me no matter what was playing!

    I got a new car today (well a new used car) and I thought about this post. I heard Soundgarden, Nirvana, AIC, and Neal Young, everyone but PJ on the way home,lol. :)
