"The Town" movie

I was very surprised how good this movie was. The previews I had seen a few times, and looked relatively uninspired, but after seeing so many amazing reviews, I had to see it. Sure enough a very good movie. It was similar to "Heat" but didn't feel as drawn out.

...if you're on the fence, I hope this tips you over.

(and just pretend Ben Affleck is not in this film when buying the ticket)

    I drive through Charlestown every morning on my way to work so I love seeing familiar things in a major movie. Haven't seen this one yet but hopefully will get to the theater in a week or 2.

    ben affleck is the reason im seeing this film. i loved his direction of gone baby gone and the man has his moments with acting. its a bonus jeremy renner is in it. anyhoo ill get back to you.

    Really wanna see this, my fave movies at crime/action/drama/thrillers.

    Also the other one called Takers.

    My wife and I liked the movie, it has some great moments, overall I would give it a 8/10.

    I enjoyed it. For once Affleck didn't over-act everything.

    We saw this last week and thought it was a really good movie. 8/10 from us.

    when i originally read your post i thought hmm no i disagree. i read the book and just ddint see it. then i thoguht hang on cate wait til you see what theyve done to the movie before you comment. well...

    ... i just saw the movie and i see it. and when i saw it i was pissed cause the ending of the book was great, i thought. just my style of ending.and i thought damn cjm was right. tbh i thought the movie ending was like not getting the golden ticket in my wonka bar... it was deflating. but overall ben did good. at one point im sure i called pete postlewaite a bad name. :lol: and i was hoping to see more of blake lively. and damn i def want to see more of jon hamm. charlestown really was a character in the film.

    oh and whoveer it was stunt driving for gloansy is an absolute master. just killer driving.

    my buddy saw it and said it was pretty good....but would have enjoyed it much more had the hype not been so big leading up to it. i am looking forward to seeing it on demand in a few months.
