Hey Everyone, Can anyone clue me in to how hot and miserable sleeping conditions at the Roo are going to be? I will have both a van and a tent and want to know if the night time is sweaty and miserable? Thanks

last time i went, which was 3 years ago, it was quite pleasant at night, even a little cool. Of course take that with a grain of salt...
Further back and forth a wave will break on me, today...

    A grain of something anyway......
  • I went last year and it was comfortable at night...in the 60's low 70's. It was hot as hell during the day. You can always take a 7$ shower before you go to bed to relax.

Last yeat it was pretty cool at night, but for me just a blanket was fine..I'd say bring a think blanket or two just to be safe.

8:00 in the morning is when you are sweaty and miserable, not at night time. The problem is MMJ is going to play until 3:30 so sleeping at night is hard.

not only do I get it, I know where the founder of Empire Carpet lives! :D

It's comfortable at night -- uncomfortable if you get a sunburn, though.

    I don't where THERE is.

I do know that, as a kid, I watched tons of baseball on tv during the summer. During Cubs' games, that jingle for Empire Carpets ran incessantly. I remember it as fondly as Van Halen's Jump kicking off the telecasts and Harry's foolish ramblings when trying to remember players' names.

It's going to be ridiculously hot during the day. The humidity isn't terrible but that depends on where you are coming from. It cools down at night but not so cold that you'll be uncomfortable camping. Worse that can happen is that it rains and the ground gets soggy.

    See you there!

Thanks dude! :) I don't anticipate sleeping much, but at least I can come home to shower if it becomes necessary.
