If there's any Pete fans around here....or even anyone who hasn't gotten into him...I highly recommend his new self-titled album.

Much more rockin' than his earlier albums, but with so much melody. The songs are so damn infectious yet genuine and "garage-y" at the same time. Loving "Precious Stone", "Rock Crowd" Velcro Shoes" and "The Chase."

Here's Pete performing "Precious Stone" on Ellen yesterday.

Definitely worth checking out the new album.

I really liked "music for the morning after" Great great album.
"Night crawler" and "Back and fourth" were ok, didn't grab me like the first one.

I did really enjoy the album he did with scarlett johansson.

still need to check out the new one.

It's cool to see some other Pete Yorn fans on here. I'm unfortunately not going to ACL this year, but I believe he is playing one of the days.

I listened to the debut album this morning because of this thread, it is awesome. :D

that is an amazing album. Starting right off with "Life on a Chain", it doesn't really weaken at any point, such a solid album. "Murray" and "Strange Condition", god I could listen to those songs all day.

every pete yorn album is SOLID. he is money in the bank. it's true, the new album has a more garage-like feel with that raw guitar sound. I LOVE IT! if you want to hear a song off of the album listen to Precious Stone. the album has a good mix of uptempo and slow songs. Wheels at the end of the album is a great closer too. i suggest you invest in pete yorn. he will be very good to you. :D
I died. I died and you just stood there. I died and you watched. I died and you walked by and said no. I'm dead.

Thanks, I used to play his cds to death, a few yrs ago :) My speakers are not so hot on this laptop, I watched it and his voice sounds a little different. Have to ask for the new cd for my upcoming birthday! I was told I wasn't giving out any hints, so now I have an idea.
p.s. what's with the white pants? 3 of them had on white pants after Labor Day ;)
