As a kid did you create worlds of your own to music and song

image and vibe and aura are important parts of bands in my view, and i think its either something a band has or doesnt.
2 examples-
in 1994, i was 10. that christmas i got my first ever cd. one of them, in my stocking, was led zep's zoso. at that time, in 1994, i was obsessed and enthralled with anything grunge, the whole seattle scene. i'd never heard led zep up until that point, and i have to admit, my 10 year old self found, the music boring at first. this was something that sounded NOTHING like Nirvana, or Pearl Jam or Stone Temple Pilots or Alice in Chains. I remember being transfixed by the cover image, the hermit with the sticks on his back. Who the hell was that? And the inside liner notes, the drawing of that man on that mountain, holding that lantern. Again, who was THAT guy? What the hell did it mean? The liner notes only had lyrics for one song, Stairway, and the font was almost 1800's type. I didnt know about the meaning of any of it. But the band was odd, and unique. bizaare. The battle of Evermore was just so bizaare to me at 10 years old. Its hard to explain. The mysticism of the band seeped through to me even at that age. I've never read the LOTR trilogy and had no idea at 10, that Plant and Page were obsessed with the books. I vividly remember around that time, that old animated The Hobbit movie was shown on tv, the one from the 70's. and somehow, thats all connected in my mind. As a fan at that time of the harder sounding music, i was flabbergasted at the first couple minutes of Stairway. This was soft sounding music.
the 2nd would be Vitalogy. and pearl jam-i used to visit the record store with my uncle often, its one of my favorite childhood memories, and last year when i was looking for headphones, i specifically sought out the over the ear, regular headphones the sony style that was at this record store. they had this thing, i dont know if it was commonplace elsehwhere, but you could bring a cd up to the counter, they'd check the back to see if they had copies, if they did, they'd give you headphones, you plug it into a sony cd player, put the cd in and listen.
anyways, i got vitalogy for christmas around that same time, was it christmas of 1994 when it came out? Anyways, i again was transfixed by liner notes. The music was so meloncholy and i felt it spoke to me, even as a 10 year old i knew kurts death a few months earlier was a huge deal. i felt the loss. and vitalogy was sonic compilation of that time. the liner notes-i spent hours pouring over it. the ears and hair in the first few pages. the guy with chicken pox. the dental xrays, the pictures of those 2 doctors of virtues. the notes about ed's family and their longevity, the guy who was in his 80's and had no grey hair. the lines about sleeping on ones; stomach producing wierd dreams. The tattooed and pierced lovers. the misspelling of satans bed, to santa's bed. this is all from memory too. i didnt pull out vitalogy just now to glance at it. i remember it all. i remember those images and how the vibe of the band seemed to me, the aura of it all.
