This is not really PJ related but I have a question for all of you with Gorge exp. My sis and I are headed to Petty for two nights in Aug. Any idea if you camp next to your car or are the camping areas tents only? Thanks!

Instead of paying all the money to camp i know a great spot on the water u can camp there for free they pick up ur trash. They have the cleanist honey buckets. Like i said it is right on the water and very shady and always great parties there to. it is accross the bridge if u want better directions pm me. I was going to the petty shwo but going to the bears game instead.

I went last year for Sasquatch and you definitely park your car and pitch your tent next to it (standard camping, not the more expensive premiere camping. That was in 2007 so I don't think it's changed since then. Personally, I don't think I'll ever camp there again...too many drunk people, yelling and screaming through the night with porta-potties filled to the brim...but what else would you expect, right?

Wildhorse has been like this everytime I've been there....I suggest finding something else, unless you're deadset on camping out.

Sounds like where I camp out there. Except I drive back to Ellensburg and camp along the Yakima river.

we parked up next to the honey buckets and camped behind the rented pt crusier in 06, make sure you bring everything you need, there is only that little town that doesnt have that much, but at least you can get cold beer there, we were told to bring all beverages with us cause we wont get it out there, but that was bs
Small my table, seats just 3, its not crowded, its just lucky me

Agreed... had an amazing time there and would go back in a heartbeat.

I've camped at the Gorge three times and always enjoyed it. You just pitch your tent next to your car. I like it because it's real easy to just walk to the venue. I've never been to Wildhorse so can't say, but I know lots on here prefer it. :)
