Turning Liquid Into Bone

Morphogenetic protein soon becomes my bone
The liquid matter fully transforms
and fills the void
Making more of who I already am
Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion
I was under a spell
I was once broken
I am now whole
The superior articular process
Connected to my annulus fibrosis
Too much for me to really understand
I do not comprehend nor do I fully intend to
The intersection of two avenues
L4 ontop of L5
A total misunderstanding
An argument between the two parts
Slipping and Grinding
Grinding and Slipping
The process tore them apart
Only to be brought back together
To live as one whole part
Morphogenetic protein
Can do no wrong
Much better than a bone graft
Taken from my side
I wouldn’t have appreciated it as much
Chills going down my spine
All throughout my soul
Only to be complete once more
Morphogenetic material
Hardens like cement
Healing me as time passes on
