Never seen him, but going to next Tuesday and I'm pretty damn excited about it. After getting a compilation of live stuff from someone around these parts...I'm looking forward to seeing this guy and his band do their thing.

Anyone else a fan?

    I've seen McMurtry twice and have a few of his bootlegs. An awesome songwriter and performer. Really understated and unassuming. He opened up for the Drive-By Truckers in Tulsa last year and did an awesome job. One of the great, unappreciated songwriters of our times.

    I agree 100%. After listening to this live album I am beginning to really understand his significance.

    Opening for the Truckers? :o That would be a great, great show.

    I think the song No More Buffalo on Live at Aught-Three might be one of the best things I've heard in a long time.

    I am a fan since I heard the song "Candyland" about 20yrs. ago!!! I've seen him twice recently at Steel Bridge Songfest in Door County, WI. It is a fest to raise money for an old bridge...I got a chance to talk to him, it was awesome. He is very passonite about his music just like of fav band PJ! Have fun at concert
