    Today in Cook County Court, prosecutes presented photographic evidence as to former grunge icon and native Chicagoan Eddie Vedder involvement in the assault on Steve Bartman after Game 6 of the 2003 National League Championship series.

    Vedder, the mumbling and cranky lead singer of the 90's band 'Pearl Jam' is charged with attempted assault and menacing. Vedder's attorney, Ira Lipshitz, says this whole prosecution is a witch hunt against the outspoken singer after Vedder's drunken performance of 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame' during a game earlier that season.

    Vedder insists that he was just keeping up the tradition set by former Cubs announcer Harry Carey who was usually blind drunk by the 7th inning after consuming 15 to 20 Budweisers during the game.
