ive had the honour of seeing miss patti perform smells like teen spirit live. it hit me more than i expected it would. so much so that it literally brought tears to my eyes.
nirvana toured oz just the once, in jan 1992 and i didnt get to see them. since then ive seen only 2 of their songs performed live(if i dont count marigold, which i saw foos do @ msg in feb 08)). one was breed. the other, smells like teen spirit. its a weird experience for me. but whatever the song miss patti performs, for me, is always an experience.

ive seen that doco and i own it thanks to a friend. i dont think i have the words to describe miss patti and what her impact has been on me.

I saw her twice in London about ten years ago. As good as those shows were I'd love to have seen her in the 70's.

OMG! yes! but thats always the way isnt it??

i remember back in 08 when i was in NYC and i was returning home on the feb 28, i saw that she was playing NYC on march 1. at the time i thought if id only known before i wouldve planned my trip accordingly. but then i thought well i saw daniel johnston while i was there so i just figured that was my universe balancing.

oh i forgot to mention that that last night in NYC i got to see rollins and considering the impact hes had on me it made up for missing miss patti.... but only just.
