while i do like his films he can be quite annoying. he loves to say things like this in between presidential elections....and then the elections come and he just goes along and supports the democratic candidate regardless.
he basically said the same shit before 2004 and then he supported kerry and begged nader not to run. then inbetween '04 and '08 he made sicko and said things like any politician that doesn't support nationalized health care doesn't deserve our vote....and then he jumps onboard the obama train despite him being against a nationalized health plan (and even a public option after he got elected) and now....we are back to his talk of both parties being out of touch and not working towards our better interests....we'll see where he stands next presidential election cycle.
i think he makes good points but i'm tired of hearing it when he never is willing to stand behind them when it counts

don't compete; coexist
what are you but my reflection? who am i to judge or strike you down?
"I will promise you this, that if we have not gotten our troops out by the time I am president, it is the first thing I will do. I will get our troops home. We will bring an end to this war. You can take that to the bank." - Barack Obama
when you told me 'if you can't beat 'em, join 'em'
i was thinkin 'death before dishonor'

yes, that is the empty campaign rhetoric obama threw out when he was playing his role as a progressive and trying to get elected, but as we can see by his actions it was all bullshit just like his anti-nafta shtick (until he won the nomination and did a 180 arriving at the same conclusion as mccain)
so, you can say it's inaccurate based on his words he never believed in anyway or you can be like me and look at his ACTIONS and see he was always full of shit.
a little history/timeline
-obama campaigns saying the load of crap you posted above and said "any health care reform MUST have a public option!"
-the public option is defeated right away and the democrats blame the republicans saying 'gee, if only we needed a simple majority to pass this, then we'd have a public option!!!!'
-jump to over a year or so later when the reform has dragged on and on and obama says 'pass a reform with a simple majority'.....so then that means there WAS support for a public option, right??
but oddly it was never placed back in the reform, even though according to the democrats now they had enough support to give it to us.
i wonder why no one, not even obama pushed for the public option then?
maybe because it's like the huffinton post reported:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/10/2 ... 32844.html
President Barack Obama is actively discouraging Senate Democrats in their effort to include a public insurance option with a state opt-out clause as part of health care reform. In its place, say multiple Democratic sources, Obama has indicated a preference for an alternative policy, favored by the insurance industry, which would see a public plan "triggered" into effect in the future by a failure of the industry to meet certain benchmarks.
but we can't really be surprised a corporate whore sold us out, can we??
regardless....moore said we shouldn't support any politician that doesn't support nationalized health care, just because obama made it sound pretty by saying it was politically unfeasible doesn't take away from the fact that he has done NOTHING to actually support nationalized health care any of the times kucinich and others pushed it or anything else other than saying 'it sure would be nice but.....'
