Stumbled upon the Avett Brothers on ACL last saturday and was blown away. The first time I even heard of them and I could not turn away. Truely amazing.0

Avett Brothers are so great and even better live. If you see them live, pay particular attention to Joe Kwon, the cello player. I really want to know how he does that.
Have a great time if you are going this weekend!
*If you are a bay area fan, they are playing next sunday (for free) at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass in Golden Gate Park.

Got tickets to see them soon in Charlottesville, VA. Even better, Grace Potter is the opening band!Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of
arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to
slide in sideways, BBQ sandwich in one hand, cold beer in the other,
body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "Woo Hoo what a
ride"!

It's just good music
especially live. I'm not really sure how else to describe it.

This will get moved to Other Music - but I love the Avett Brothers. Great little band. I and Love and You is a really great album. I too first heard of them through ACL. Showed up the afternoon of day 1 last year and heard them playing The Perfect Space and I went straight for their stage. Unfortunately that was the last song of their set, but I went home and looked them up and grabbed the new album. Can't wait to see them again."Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them." - Thoreau

Saw them in Atlanta earlier this month. They're just fantastic live. I have all of their releases (Live Vol.3 out October 5) and they're all great listens. It doesn't get much better than the Avett's these days...0
