  • My bad, $64.50 for a pair, I was remembering $80.

I suppose if I wanted to see a band other than Brad, it would be worth it.

Especially since it will surely be a shorter Brad set.

Luckily, I really like BoH also, or else I probably would have been with you and not ponied up the money to just see Brad.

  • Yeah, you should have fun then.

Brad is so great live. Hopefully the BoH fans pay attention.

This could be fun with a group!!!
If you've never been to a mongolian BBQ, It's a GREAT time.
You go through a buffet line with a big bowl and pile in fresh meats, veggies, noodles & sauces.
Then you give the guys your bowl and they cook it for you on a big stone grill!!
Any thoughts about this place? :ugeek:
6 or more require a reservation. If this is where we go, we would need confirmed attendees.

    They have a bar there,
so I was thinking we could arrive on our own and just meet in the bar!!
    Anyone up for BD's??
Boston's would be the other CLOSE choice...
Either of these work for the group?
Can't believe this show is only 5 days away!! :ugeek:

Since I'm kind of burned out on making decisions at the moment, I'll just say that I'm good with either place and leave it up to you guys. ;)

I've got a shoot this day that may run a little past 5pm,
so it's probably gonna be 6:30 or 7pm before I can get to the Arena District.
Think I'll just head to Boston's for a quick beer or glass of wine before the show...
If anyone else want's to stop by... I'll be at the bar!!! :ugeek:

So anyone doing this? What conclusions have we come to. See you Tuesday.....if anyone wants to meet.
    Chris.
There's no need to say goodbye
  • Does anyone know if the show starts at 7:00 or if the doors open at 7:00? I'd be up for meeting at Boston's at around 6:00. I'll let you all know what I'm wearing tomorrow so we can spot each other! :)

    Thanks!

I'll be at Boston's around 6:00 (even though it's only Tuesday, I already need a beer after the way this week is going!). I have on a dark gray top with a black pattern on it and shoulder length brown hair. Oh, and for those who don't already know, I'm a girl.

And mickey - If you'd like to come I'd be more than happy to buy you a beer for your help with the party. :D

    I. Totally. Forgot.
Presidential Advice from President-Elect Mike McCready: "Are you getting something out of this all encompassing trip?"
  • Well I lucked out and got a ticket for $20, so I went.

I am so bummed...Shawn's voice is about 50% right now

Stone was great though, and did most of the talking between songs.

yeah, couldn't hit the high notes. But you know understated and slower songs were good. Really liked Stones solo to close the show.

BoH- seeing them on May it seemed their sound got lost at nationwide in a half empty arena. Tonight they sounded great. Crowd was into it.

  • That was awesome last night! Derbydave and I were right up front in front of Stone! Close enough that I was able to yell out and ask Shawn if he was feeling better and he responded! Into the mic even!

And we did throw a couple flyers for the Oct. 22 event up on stage right in front of Stone. Although he never picked one up like I was hoping he would, after Dave threw one Stone did say, "Well thank you".

I was really hoping they'd play Low and Secret Girl and maybe Holiday, but oh well... they still played some great songs! I can't seem to get Every Whisper out of my head this morning. :D

And I agree that BoH sounded great! It seemed that everyone I talked to was a rabid BoH fan, so it was also nice to see them with a more supportive crowd. :)

Mickeyrat - did you make it onto the guestlist?

It certainly was an AWESOME SHOW!!!
    All 3 sets were AMAZING...
I really liked Blake Mills set and it was GREAT to see him performing with Band of Horses too!!
Loved the Silly String and the "DRUMMER DUO"
    BRAD was SOOOOOOO GOOOODDDD....
Even though Shawn's voice wasn't 100%, I still thought they did a GREAT SET.
Stone closing out the set with the guitar solo almost brought the house down...
Cat, I just wished he'd picked up our handbills for the October Event, but we did get the Thank YOU!!!
I still get GOOSEBUMPS thinking about being that close to a TRUE GUITAR HERO..
And what can you say about being FRONT ROW CENTER for Band of Horses!!
These guys know how to put on a great show for the fans!!!
I wished they played a few more songs from their new album...but still got to hear a TON of old Favorites.
I REALLY hope that BRAD will come back to Columbus as the HEADLINER and do a full set!!! :ugeek:

I was just so excited that BoH started out their set with Factory as that's my favorite from the new album and I was really hoping they'd play it!

And yes, it would be awesome if Brad would come back as a headliner! However, if the reason that they can't would be because PJ is doing another tour, I would definitely forgive them. :D
