It actually lists states and where ea is located. Can anyone check out a facility listed for your state and post?
I knew all the rules, but the rules did not know me...GUARANTEED!

Yahmita, I don't know anything about these, BUT, I will say that using the phrase "concentration camps" is very much a buzzy kind of approach to an idea. Whoever is dubbing these facilities as "concentration camps" is TRYING to get people angry, and over-the-top afraid. Don't you think?

As you surely know, concentration camps were DEATH camps. Are any of these facilities in the US death camps? Or, are they prisons of some sort? Do they have no standards and no public profile OR are they prisons that are accessible?

It seems irresponsible to just "go with" someone else's label for a place unless you're trying to get people's emotions all worked up. :geek:

wrong justam. concentration camps werent an invention of the nazis ergo they werent originally used for the purpose of genocide, simply for the coralling of whatever persons a particular government felt needed such attention. they were called internment camps. i live not far from the location of an internment camp used for germans during ww2. the term concentration camp came to prominence during the boer war. and of course took on sinister connotations with the nazis.

cate, I didn't even mention the nazis but I think that's what often springs to mind with these words.

I don't think any kind of questionable, under-the-table prisons are acceptable but I just find that when people use words like this they have an agenda which includes getting other people activated in a negative way.

you said DEATH camps. i made the jump.

the reason you see it as perhaps a negative thing when people use the term concentration camp is because of the nazi death camps. and thats understandable but the forced coralling of people should anger people.

    I agree. :geek:
But, what I'm trying to say is that I think perhaps someone is TRYING to get people riled up first.
Without any real evidence that these places are forced internment camps. :P

sometimes the people need to be riled up. wouldnt want them choking on their own complacency. ;)

all youve got to know is whether the people in them are there of their own volition. id hazard a guess and say no. therefore they are forced internment camps so matter what colour you paint them with.
we have the here in oz. we call them detention centres.

I call BULLSHIT!!!!! Old grainy pics in the link given by OP and mention of being on ASHCROFTS list? C'mon.
leftovers from the days of W the fearmonger. complete utter bullshit. Read on here a year ago about this bunk and human cattle cars to boot.
    Get a grip.

As for shit like this in Ohio? not necessary to build anything. plenty of closed and shuttered prisons to use anyway.

this is all fear about FEMA?

it took FEMA 5 days to get water to the stadium where people were hiding from katrina, i doubt they are in any position to take over the world.

I think I would have been asking some questions if certain men in uniform were asking for my papers and loading my ass up on a train. Don't think it can't happen again, people..But hey, line up, get on the bus! Be the herded cattle..

  • REX 84 is real.

    Readiness Exercise 1984 - Wikipedia
a contingency plan developed by the United States federal government to suspend the United States Constitution, declare martial law, place military commanders in charge of state and local governments, and detain large numbers of American citizens who were deemed to be "national security threats", in the event that the President declared a "State of Domestic National Emergency".

May I Most Respectfully Request That This Subject Not Be Touched Upon? -- Youtube video of congressman Brooks being shut down over Rex 84 question during Iran\Contra hearings (btw, WORST mis-naming of a scandal ever, should have been the CIA Sells Cocaine-For-Murder scandal or something) sheesh.

Make what you want of the intent of those camps,
    but they exist.
    they're real.
and the were deliberately set up to DETAIN US CITIZENS.

    that isn't fear.
    it's just reality.
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?
