Noticing Kat's newly updated BDD post at the top,
I can't help but wondering what all the hubbub has been about as of late.
I'm not asking for gossip. God knows i can imagine enough of the petty specifics.

Just in a general sense, what has the board been driving at lately.
What have been the topics of note?
From what i gather, Jesus has been outperforming his historical average on here,
seems to be getting more than his fair share of responses.

Most of what i see on the front page looks trivial at first glance.

Any big topics that slipped under my nose?
Any major arguments\discussions that have come and gone?
Have we identified the 3rd gunman yet?
Has The Jenga Collapse Theory been proven or disproven lately?
Is Obama still universally upheld as the Change Agent Par Excellence,
or has popular opinion on the board waned, even amongst his elect disciples?

Are things here still as partisan as ever, or have folks tempered their dualistic outlook in favor of a broader view of the political realities apparent and a deeper understanding of the real forces in play?

Just wondering.
Respond as you will.
Or not.
;)
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?

Well, there was the recent revelation that Tim Robbins as Ed's best man was his best supporting role since Shawshank Redemption...
I smile, but who am I kidding...

    Don't forget about this Oscar-worthy performance . . .

It seems to me the quality of some the discussions is hit-and-miss. Most threads are relative to the current top stories in the news. I think it's helped keep myself more informed and it is nice to get outside views on issues. But once threads start to become pointed and tempers flare, I usually bow out early unless I'm reading it for unintentional comedy's sake.

Also, I don't think the 3rd gunman has been identified, but do you know who the 2nd gunman is?

tea baggers have died off some,

    israel/palestine still very much discussed

but there were a lot of "you" comments in the past....focus was on the person posting, not on what they were posting
  • something that is beyond man happened and Glenn Beck is going to restore everyones honor.

no blonde jokes allowed, but if you can show me a thread where someone has been made to apologize for saying one, i'll give you my Teal SG.

some people still love fetuses and telling women what to do with their bodies.

defending Palestinian basic human rights and being critical of the Israeli government, is an open invitiation for someone to call you anti-semetic without an apology forthcoming.

state-sanctioned murder made another appearance and got to around something like 80 pages. in the blue corner you had people claiming only uncivilized countries murder their own citizens. in the red corner you had various outbursts of what certain individuals would do if given a few minutes alone with the alleged offender. suffice to say that ever meeting strangers from a message board at my next pearl jam gig is not really high on my list of priorities after reading some of the responses  .

cosmo and norm are still as funny as all hell and Byrnzie still receives unnecessarily long bans.

iran has been a bit of a hot topic lately. the warmongers are right behind the US Government and their thirst for power at any cost, and are apparently unconcerned with actions ultimately motivated by greed and the insatiable lust for power.

so uhm yeah. good to see you back Drifting. i always enjoyed your posts on the Fed Reserve and the Constitution. high five.

I'm still wondering what happened to my Jesus-masturbation thread.

    Maybe it was crucified?

it went straight to hell for adultery.
  • Thanks all (T.Angel especially).

    I feel like i didn't miss a thing!
Like seeing a preview for a really bad movie,
and never having to actually go to the theater!

    :D:D:D

I'll try to find time to say something slightly more coherent going forward,
but time is short, and i have an appointment at noon... at noon, in hell!

  • I just try my best to keep up. I've already gotten in trouble for spending too much time on message boards (only this one) while at work.

Shit, my boss just walked by.
