Just wanted to say that I highly recommend checking out this album. It has a gorgeous sound and a nice relaxing vibe...big fan of Robert.

I actually liked the slow songs he did in the late 80's / early 90's, that one song "I'm in the mood for a melody, I'm in the mood for a melody, I'm in the mood", is it like that stuff?

Sort of like that sound. But he has a completely different band, so its a difficult comparison. I believe you can hear the album on the NPR website.
  • I'll second that - It's a great album. Takes the work he did with alison Krauss one step further.

Agree on that. The album is varied. The 12th track sounds like it is off of Dreamland or Mighty Rearranger. There are sounds of Plant/Krauss, sounds of the Honeydrippers, etc.

"Satan your kingdom must come down" is genius! The covers of the "Low" songs (Destroyer album) are great. It is multi genres but has a cohesiveness.

Plant said it's (these and similar songs and bands) basically what he has in the CD player in his car.
Up here so high I start to shake, Up here so high the sky I scrape, I've no fear but for falling down, So look out below I am falling now, Falling down,...not staying down, Could’ve held me up, rather tear me down, Drown in the river
