IMO Gedge is in the top three song writers in the UK, he's probably in the top one. Not everyone agrees... but here is the marvellous 'Corduroy' by the Wedding Present. (I wanted to post the Peel Sessions version of Spangle but I couldn't find it).

I liked it a lot, it sounded like a lot of cool Scandinavian indie stuff, even though it isn't from that area.
I just felt it was let down by the middle eight as that didn't really go anywhere different.
8 for the first 3 minutes, 6 after that....
