The copy I have has 'Orlake' scratched onto it in teeny letters. What does this mean? Is it most likely the name of the person who numbered it?

Thanks!

  • "orlake" was supposed to be scratched on my copy of the basketball pic disc, but since i bought a FAKE one on ebay it wasnt there...

not sure what it means....but i think its an indicator that its official....as opposed to my basketball lp that is missing this...
I shit and I stink, I'm real, join the club...
  • Orlake is the name of the record pressing plant that pressed the basketball picture disc and the Daughter red vinyl. It was in Dagenham in the UK, which is on the outskirts of London. Not sure if it's still there? but it was one of the oldest pressing plants in the UK.
  • Aha! Thanks for the info.

BTW, quick internet search suggests they are still in business. And apparently - extra little piece of trivia - they did most of the UK Nirvana picture discs as well.
