Was this the greatest show I've ever seen?

When we left the Muse show on Saturday night at Wembley Stadium, London I thought it was possibly the greatest show I've ever seen. Muse were awesome! Where we were 100 yards back dead centre the sound was good and very loud. The only thing that makes me doubt it was the greatest show is that so much of a Muse show is the visual spectacular so I don't know if I've been influenced by that.

The stage set up was unbelievable and must have cost a fortune. I just wonder what it would have been like with a PJ type stage without all the theatrics.

tend to agree with Dimi! Sorry dude, PJ over Muse any day for me. Not meaning to knock down your post, but dude, you must have really been sucked up in the moment.
Have you come to your senses yet?
Were you at any shows on this year's PJ tour? MSG II for instance? Now there is a show ...the show to beat all shows...a masterpiece of entertainment to go down in PJ history!
I'm happy you like other bands tho...it allows you to appreciate PJ all the more.
You know I'm just getting your evil little goat right?
    It's all good.
    Glad you enjoyed Muse :D

If the music was at all shit, no amount of visuals can make up for it! Greatest show I've seen this year with the Silversun Pickups opening (and yes, over PJ Newark and both MSG's), enough so I'm thinking of going again when they take a second pass here in October.

Excellent - 9 days till the show out here in San Diego. That stage looks almost as big as the arena they are playing in out here.
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

My brain is still a bit fuzzed up from the volume.

No I wasn't at MSGII as I'm from the UK but I was at Hyde Park :lol::lol: which despite the crazed crowd was brilliant. Plus the O2 in 09. PJ will always be by number one choice for a show if dates collided but I see loads of others. Biffy were the support for Muse and were stunning.

Perhaps I was sucked up in the moment but I'd be happy to be sucked up again. Did that sound rude?

    No not too rude LOL!
I would do the same thing. If I had 2 shows fall on or pretty near the same date and I could only choose one, it would no doubt be the PJ show..no doubt. But I too have seen some other shows that have blown me away in the past....Grateful Dead (the old original band) for one (and several times), Hot Tuna, I saw Bruce do a killer New Year's eve show at the Tower way back in the 70s ...I could go on..but even so, PJ takes precedence every time! Glad to see you've got your priorities straight...and super happy that you enjoyed your other shows!

Thanks. I'm looking forward to seeing them, I've heard nothing but great things about their live show. What was the size of the crowd out there? Must have been massive.

  • My mate passed up the show on saturday because he had a cold!!!!!! Just let his ticket go to waste.....for shame!
  • How is this band Muse so popular? I just don't get it. To me they're not that great.

The greatest show I've ever seen was Ed Vedder solo at the Boston Opera House, summer 2008.

The crowd was about 75,000 I think. I'm not sure what capacity they allow. The pitch was full and all seats sold by the look of it.

Big, epic sing-along songs with rocking riffs - very tight live band, not much more you can say really.
