Merlot

Like some kind of infatuation I once felt
So strong it hurts
Kind of like pouring red wine, Merlot
Down her legs and down her throat
Red wine, red wine I love her so
Across her timeline
To a distant shore
A wave crashes hard
Onto a dry beach
Red wine so fine
Merlot’s her name
A name I taste
Hands like golden fingertips
Contact my tense soul
A soul consumed with Merlot
Merlot
Like a lost, distant shore
Although I need not be rescued
For I am surely lost in her soul
Wine running down her breast flowing
Lava burning
Engines turning
Wanting more, wanting more
Infatuations like situations
Coming on so strong it hurts
Pain is my pleasure, though
Whenever I’m with her
The Merlot, my love so true
Poured across her body
Stain on my shirt
Understood
Let it flow once more
Sweetness, bitterness
On the kitchen floor

    Thanks. That means a lot to me. Back when Vitalogy was released I did a fun poem using all of PJ's song titles in a story.
