The liberal Democrats were warned. Vote for obamacare and and your asseses will be voted out of office next election, and if there's plenty of Republicans that need to go also.
With just two months to go before the November elections, pollsters and political scientists are predicting a blow-out loss for Democrats that could rival the Republican Revolution of 1994.
In a new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll, most-likely voters said — by a 9-point margin — that they want the midterms to produce a Congress controlled by Republicans, not Democrats.
“If that kind of lead holds, Republicans would almost certainly take back control of the House,” the Journal’s Gerald Seib writes.
A new ABC/Washington Post poll gave Republican congressional candidates a 53 percent to 40 percent advantage among “those most likely to vote.”
“Voters were also asked whether they think it is more important to have Democrats in charge of Congress to help support the president's policies or to have Republicans in control to serve as a check on Obama's agenda,” the Post’s Dan Balz and Jon Cohen write. “Here, 55 percent say they prefer Republicans, while 39 percent choose Democrats. The GOP's 16-point edge is double what it was in July.”
Handicapper Stuart Rothenberg warned of a tsunami Monday.
“National and local polls continue to show further deterioration in Democratic prospects,” Rothenberg told his clients. “Given that, we are increasing our target of likely Republican gains from 28-33 seats to 37-42 seats, with the caveat that substantially larger GOP gains in the 45-55 seat range are quite possible.”
At this weekend’s annual meeting of the American Political Science Association, three of the five forecasts predicted that Republicans would gain majority control of the House of Representatives, The Huffington Post reported.
Republicans would need a 39-seat pickup to seize control of the House — and with the tide turning against the Democrats, some prognosticators are predicting that the GOP could get 60.
The new polls and projections mirror the bleak outlook for Democrats in recent polls by Gallup and Rasmussen Reports, both of which found a historic advantage for Republicans heading into the fall. On Aug. 31, Gallup reported that Republicans’ 10-point lead over Democrats in congressional voting preference was the GOP’s widest advantage in Gallup's history of tracking the generic ballot, which dates to 1942.
Rasmussen Reports President Scott Rasmussen said in a Monday analysis that “voters are ready to deliver the same message in 2010 that they delivered in 2006 and 2008, as they prepare to vote against the party in power for the third straight election. These results suggest a fundamental rejection of both political parties.”

isn't that sorta what happened in the early 2000's? Republicans had control and turned everything to shit and the dems got it back and haven't done much to right the ship. Neither party makes anything better, just the one in power looks so bad that the other party looks like a better alternative for the time being.
It's easy to win elections railing on the party in charge and promising the world to everyone... however, those who win never can really pull it off.

As for Ann Rand, I love the cig in her publicity photo!
Alexi (D) is a former banker whose bank failed and had to be taken over by the Feds with a loss in the hundreds of millions from investors. He is Obama's buddy, the same Obama that said Washington had enough bankers. His bank gave loans to known Mob people and did business with people like Tony Rezko.
Mark Kirk (R) is a military officer who has been caught lying a few times about his record. He is anti-gun and many label him as a Dem in GOP clothing. He is a RINO by definition.
Both of them are completely useless.
I was going to vote for Randy Stufflebeam, the Constitution Party candidate, but he was removed from the ballot because of supposed errors in his collection of signatures. The investigation is being funded by both the Dems and the GOP, follow the money.
I HATE HATE HATE HATE being a resident of this State. Unfortunately my career path is isolated to a specific industry and until I can move I'm stuck here.
Typical corruption in this state.
agreed that IL sucks. since moving here, i have typically voted agaist the main party canidates by voting green, or independent or putting my name down. i will most likely do the same thing this november.
at least on the bright side, Todd Stroger won't be on the ballot.
relavent today as I am in the fall closet looking at some turkeys
now that sounds a bit political

Just so you know Im not at all thrilled about the incumbant Republicans. I wish all the Rhinos from the R. establishment were on the ballot so we could vote them out .. Candidates like Marco Rubio R. Fla and Joe Miller R. From Alsaka. Have the Rhinos shaking in their boots.
and I don't really see what the big hope in Palin is... I thought she was around for comedy's sake
at this point, america is majorly screwed up. the two party system is a failure. both parties have screwed shit up and yes, palin is a joke. a bad one.
Obama must fix everything within 48 hours of presidency.
And what'd he do? Tried to give us HEALTHCARE?!
Bahhhhh humbug.
I live in Texas. Daily I see hateful racist bumper stickers aimed at Obama. We have soooooo much hate in this Christian founded country. So sad.
Nothing gets done because each party is afraid of the other side getting credit for something... their fucking egos and self-interest/fundraising paychecks take a front seat to anything good actually coming out of our government.

But the funny thing is, nothing will change... the tea party shills will be just as corrupt and as drunk on power as the other clowns.

Its so funny... at least from an outsiders perspective.
Ideology the same? One tolerates different religions, sexual orientations then theres different views on taxes, corporations, wars etc etc. Now many on both sides suck but there are some differences and I'd rather have dems pick supreme court justices than repubs and getting another freakin john roberts.
Of course I'd rather have democrats too, and I'll keep voting that way. But most of their differences show up in rhetoric/media coverage/talking heads and in the bickering in Congress. When it comes down to what they actually DO though, the difference is very subtle.
If democrats were actually tolerant of sexual orientation, we'd have gay marriage by now. If Bush were actually a Republican, he wouldn't have spent so much money. If democrats were actually tough of corporations, they wouldn't take so much money from them and bitch out on health care to bow to drug companies. If Democrats really had a different view on war than Republicans, Obama wouldn't be selling a butt-load of weapons to the Saudis.
Also, when it comes to Supreme Court Justices, of course they'll piss us off and make bad calls, such as the one giving corporations the right to spend whatever they want on campaign donations, but ultimately, as Howard Zinn pointed out after John Roberts was picked, (and Zinn is a fitting citation for this board) the people are the ones who push the court in one direction or another.
and be right back where we started from.
the one party system, the business party.
the working class, the middle class, the lower class-we have no representation in washington- we can't afford it.
