    It was under 18 kids and they were good!  Had one kid that "rolled" his bags in.  Never saw that before.

    Coverage of the NYC Marathon today sucked.

    Women's race: "Not as sexy this year;" "ten runners in the lead pack, maybe four of them are elite;" "they're painfully slow." As if dude could hang with them even for a mile. Women's race heated up with less than two miles to go -- so they cut to commercials, of course. At one point they had a split screen, and BOTH shots were of the men's race. The women's field had more depth and was more interesting, but this was what we got.
    All those who seek to destroy the liberties of a democratic nation ought to know that war is the surest and shortest means to accomplish it.

    I grew up reading Whitlock in the Kansas City Star.  Not a popular guy in that city alone.  It’s pretty bad when Skip Bayless doesn’t want you on his show.
