yeah but if coldplay and muse toured or something, two of the biggest bands in the world, you'd expect both to get equal press. both are beyond huge. imagine if dylan and bruce springsteen toured together or dylan and neil.
eminem is no slouch, he is as we all know, and as i said, one of the best ever to rock the mic.
both setlists were insane, and im sure em put on a great show as well.
it's a big deal for someone local to play at yankee stadium. not to many local tri state area musicians have played at the old yankee stadium or new one. i think your missing that point a bit. i don't disagree with you.
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
Sammi: Wanna just break up?

that and Jay-z is ten times the rapper and live performer that eminem is
no question jay is one of the best of all time. as i said in the mashup thread i have all his records plus just about every one of his mashup albums as well, so i understand the importance of someone like jay.
that said, em is unbelieveable. SSLP, MMLP and The Em Show will go down as 3 of the best albums of all time. all are pretty flawless. Em has always been about flow and his rhymes. The multisyllables stuff.
Jay is mindblowing and he deserves all the hype he gets and more. but ive never heard jay do a rhyme scheme along the lines of the 2nd verse of Stay Wide Awake. And this is on a album generally reguarded as the low point of Em's career.
Im a late joiner to the Em fan club here, but to suggest he's somehow a lower quality rapper than jay is absurd. ten times worse than jay? Pretty outrageous statement there.

MMLP was his best work and a fantastic album
no doubt the dude can rap
but since then.......not so great
and his stuff never translated well to the stage IMHO
