Friday night I saw Keller Williams perform at the Chameleon Club in Lancaster, PA, and his first set was just about entirely grunge covers. He played Alive, Small Town, Jeremy, and Black, along with a bunch of Nirvana. The second set was just his regular stuff, but what an awesome show! Very talented guy, you should check him out if you've never heard of him

I've seen Keller at least 6 times and haven't been lucky enough to catch a PJ cover, but I think a Dead cover is a givin and Lithium or Smells like Teen Spirit might be as well this tour. Caught him here in Tempe this tour and he did this awesome accapella(sp?) version of Bohemian Rhapsody. Very bad ass.
I’ve seen Pearl Jam 25 times, Eddie Vedder 9 times, and Brad once.

I was there, good show, nice to see some PJ love in there...I musta missed Alive, but Black & Elderly Woman were nice...
I met my wife here...you can too! Don't lose hope!
  • i dont think id recognize a cover from any of his "originals"... everything he touches sounds exactly the same... theres plenty of slap/tap players that do it just as good if not better than keller... dont get the hype... then again, i dont get much of todays jam band culture... thank god phish is back :D

cool that he respects PJ though...

Yeah, it was called Grass Grunge, doing Bluegrass takes on '90s grunge tunes...hence his PJ covers and some Nirvana, not bad...he did it at the Showbox, in Lancaster on Friday and I think Baltimore...only 3 shows for the theme

That's awesome. I wonder why he hasn't touched any Soundgarden tunes. You can probably thank Matt why he hasn't haha.

Breathe by Keller Williams is an amazing record! String Cheese Incident are the perfect backing band for those songs.
Whoa, chill bro... you know you can't raise your voice like that when the lion's here.
