he knows its time
time to open the thick metal doors
time to let the others back in
while simultaneously airing out his soul
a fall cleansing of sorts
he knows its time
time to put away the past
and let dreams breathe again
while sharing them with others
time to let go of anger
and face the day new
without the weight
named just for him
he knows he can’t do this alone
not this time,
yet he still hides
fearing the sound
of his own voice
knowing
facing the others
his eyes will reveal his soul
he closes and locks the door
and sinks further
into his self inflicted madness

a fall cleansing of sorts
