How does Weezy record music in prison?

I'd say TI and Weezy are the two best MC's in the game at the moment, or at least top of the heap.

Supposedly November 5th I think Weezy gets out, and he is supposed to release Tha Carter IV, and headline a show that day, the day he's released. Needless to say its gonna be one of the most anticipated days of the year. Tha Carter III is a classic.

TI, same thing, the guy is heading to jail right now, but his new album King Uncaged is one of the most anticipated albums of the year.

One can logically assume Wayne has been recording while in prison. Thats the reason for my post. How is he able to do that? Does some producer bring in a mic, and mixers and recording equipment? How does that work?

I don't think you can call what "Weezy" does music....

But I imagine it's probably quite easy to spit some nonsense gibberish lyrics into a tape recorder, send it off to some douchebag in LA who then takes this shit, coats it in a thick layer of lawn sprinkler-esque drum loops, samples, and god awful autotune.

I've been told that this is what passes for art in 2010.

I'll try to give you a real answer instead of an ignorant one.

Most artists will have a tracks written and demos laid out beforehand. All it takes is a good producer to meld it all together.

Kinda like what Lukinfan was saying w/ Pac and Biggie.

I wouldn't say those two are best at the moment. The two best at the moment just performed in Detroit during the week and will be performing at Yankee Stadium on Monday. No one better than Eminem and Jay Z at the moment.

That's what I was thinking. Mr. Jefferson probably smuggled in some recording equipment for her.

I was reading today about how his prison ID leaked, and saw this, from August:

"Tha Carter IV plans we had and still have are to put Tha Carter IV out the day he comes out [of prison]," Mack said in an interview. "He had so many songs for Tha Carter IV, we said let's just put these 10 songs out [on I Am Not a Human Being] and double-back for Tha Carter IV. He has more songs for Tha Carter IV that are still strong...It's basically me, him, Baby and [manager] Cortez Bryant mapping it out. We had a listening session out here. It was me, Baby and Cortez. I let [Wayne] know these are the ones we picked. He already picked six of them from back there. I let him hear it over the phone. I book him a studio session -- kinda like I did for the 'Light Up' up remix with Drake. I book him a studio session and let him listen [to tracks] over the phone. 'Do you like this one?' 'Yeah?'" (MTV)
