Saw clip and it got me thinking... http://www.ebaumsworld.com/video/watch/1035697/ ...what is your classic mis-heard lyric? Mine is from Daughter: "Young girl, violence" instead of: "Young girl, violins".

I make the mistake of not reading the lyrics before I fall in love with the song and know it by heart, the wrong way

  • I always liked the famous British Football song, "Hooray, England!!!"

Instead of, "Already in love, already in love." in Satan's Bed.
  • Somebody on the board a few weeks ago thought it was "Once, oh party time". Now every time I hear that song, I hear these lyrics. So funny.
"FF, I've heard the droning about the Sawx being the baby dolls. Yeah, I get it, you guys invented baseball and suffered forever. I get it." -JearlPam0925

this always makes me laugh. For me it was the same lyric as the OP but I though Ed said, "Young girl, by all means...center of her own attention".

As I mentioned in the other thread, I thought the line for Wash was:

    "Let's clean his pubic hair."

It's actually, "What's clean is pure, but hey."

You guys and gals are awesome.... I laughed out load like ten times.... And it's not a slight, I've heard my own lyrics in my own time, that's what makes it so beautiful, the music..... Ed's "mastery of words" as jeff once said about him gives him license to change the words in the same song which he does often.... Like when he even says " state of love and trust" and rolls it into " trust in love" and then " trust then love"....sorry for the ramble....
If I don't see you no more in this world, I'll meet you on the next one...

  • It's like his shorts are too big for his thighs
  • In Alive:

I heard, "But I'm playing guitar"

Should be, "But I'm glad we talked"

I am imagining Eddie singing those lines all serious, and it's cracking me up.

The mis-heard lyrics looks like they are written by Jim Morrison
most of them are like poetry( in a strange way ;) ) But so was Jimmy......

  • I know I'm not the only one who thought the chorus to "Glorified G" was "glorified version of a pelican".

I drove a car with a bad stereo when avacado came out, and listening to "worldwide suicide" on it, I thought the chorus was "banana, banana, banana" instead of "another, another, another". The quality of my life dramatically improved when I got a car with a better sound system.
