How RARE is a misprinted PJ Concert Poster? Philly '05
Hello all!
I'm wondering how rare a misprinted Pearl Jam gig poster might be? I purchased it at the show, five years ago (Philadelphia, October 3rd 2005.)
I just purchased the actual poster in mint condition for $100 and I thought maybe I could make my money back (and possibly at bit more) if I resold my defected one, which is in mint condition also, except for the printing foul up!
For five years now I thought the poster I had was the way it was supposed to look, it's all distorted and the colors are bit blotched up, but the show and date info is not printed across the bottom as intended, and the imagine isn't really visible.
It was only recently that I caught a glimpse of the real thing and felt cheated in a way, but also thought it was a pretty neat thing that mine is defective. I remember the poster vendor at the show telling people the number of posters for sale were running really low due to the misprints, because they had been recalled; and weren't for sale, and no one was able to get them, but some how I was able to.
I remember seeing a box of misprinted posters behind the counter but not thinking anything of it, because most of them were worse looking than the one I got.
Anyway, I'm just seeing if it's rare enough to sell, in-order to make my money back on the real one I just bought, and to ask if anyone else came across the same situation when purchasing their posters, at this show or any other? Thanks!
P.S. - I'm having some trouble uploading photos at the moment, (New Camera!) but PM if you'd like to see what I'm talking about, and I'll find a way to send you a pic, thanks again!

Example a Brad Klausen Hawaii is worth more than the dent and scratch version of the same print.
How bad the misprint it can also determine what someone would pay. If it is just a little splash of ink on the margin, most won't care, but if the image is totally changed, it is all a crap shoot.
so your best bet is to e-bay, or sell it here with a big big asterisks saying it is a misprint.
picture would help when you get it up
good luck
With your poster having a correct version that would make your poster more sought after. So hold out for more money and make sure you say its the misspelled version.
also - EV 08 "hard sun" poster - says "Berkely" instead of "Berkeley" -
mispelling is not really a big deal, but they are supposed to triple check it before printing the final run.....usually if the designer doesnt catch it, someone else down the line will - generally there are many things to be checked before a final print run is made.....so my guess is they were in a big rush
i dont think any misprints are gonna be worth more, prob worth less than the "good looking" ones - it's not baseball cards, a "fuck face" baseball bat photo isnt gonna get you an extra $100
