Anyone make an itunes "Ping" account?

So far its ok. I was surprised Pearl Jam and Soundgarden made a page so fast only after the second day. (unless its a fake one)

I just hate that it only updates the music you listen to that you PURCHASED through itunes. That really makes it like a giant marketing scheme to get people to buy off itunes.

    No idea what this "Ping" is yet. Haven't updated itunes. Is it worth following? Any further info is much appreciated. :)

    I've just updated to ITunes 10 and created one.
    Not sure how it works and what's the point of it, though ?

    It's made so you can follow what your friends and favorite artists are listening to. You can also comment and like statuses like facebook. Unfortunately it only works with music bought through iTunes.

    I looked at it but I don't buy anything from iTunes. I'm going to stick with last.fm instead.
    So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?

    i was hoping last.fm would take off but it never did.
    i hear ping will have concerts event page...like last.fm. i'm looking forward to that.
