There lies the problem. They have no problem churning out substandard items when people around here will buy anything with their name on it. I don't understand that rationale....same with when people buy 5 copies of an album to "support the band". I am a huge collector, mostly posters, but if something is really stupid or I already own much of it, I would never buy it.

Btw- I loved the ten reissue. Woulda been even more cooler had they added a making of the album dvd with it.

What planet do you live on? When has the ten club "churned" anything out? Please point out the over saturation of Pearl Jam products that are "churned" out.

I swear it's laugh out loud funny the stuff you can find on here.

I was looking at the Birmingham 2003 poster (when the band cared about music and not touring where most profitable with as little shows as possible) and there is a section at the bottom that says "Death on Ten Legs". No tied to this release at all, but I wonder where the reference comes from for the poster.

Also, I hate releases with download extras. Either release everything together or don't do it at all. I don't need to work to be able to get all of the music for a release.

I think Death on Two legs was a Queen album or something? They changed it for Live on Two Legs... then I guess Death on Ten Legs must be something else off of that? I also remember the poster that said that. Wasn't it on the New Orleans poster too (is that the one with the skeleton with the mohawk? I know they used the same design/different colors for multiple cities).

Good call on the 2003 tour too... remember back in the days when they played 70 date US tours? Those were the days.

that is the most laughably naive thing I've ever heard. they consistently make quality music. and they tour what fits their schedules. people have families and other considerations (like possibly environmental reasons). do you have a family that you care about? environment to care about?

just be grateful that they're still together and doing good things!

Hey, not all of us live within a reasonable distance of Cali, Philly, Boston, Chicago, or New York. They USED to play near where the rest of us live or are able to travel to.

Anyway, I just remembered that the reason they called LO2L that was because the songs were pulled from two legs of the tour. Maybe this fictional fake box set, with its complete randomness of songs in wacky fake set list order, was titled Ten Legs because they pulled from another ten different legs of tours. Like going back to 2000, AFTER Live on Two Legs, and songs up until 2010 with the Backspacer stuff. That's my fictional guess since this whole thing is probably fake.

Naive? Other bands can and DO tour the South. Do they hate their families more than PJ's members, or do they like their fans more that Pearl Jam does? I'm guessing they like their families as much as PJ does, so that leaves fans or money. Pearl Jam does not tour the south because of money or lack of care of fans. That's all there is to it.

I get to see the band several times a year because I have the means to travel, but you New York North East people should stay out of the conversation when it comes to topics like this because New Yorkers complain when PJ visits East Rutherford or Long Island instead of MSG. How was Newark not sold out this year? If you are such super fans, why wasn't Newark sold out? Why wasn't Boston sold out?

Remember when Ed said he used to sleep in hotel bathtubs since the rooms were too nice? Yeah, fast forward to today. Wedding on the beach with movie star groomsman. Naive? It is about money. You are naive to think it isn't.
  • Why don't we all just calm down a little bit and stick to the issue at hand, which is this fake boxset that is never coming out. :D

What is asinine about what I said? It is fact they tour with a chart that has two goals: maximize profits and minimize cities visited. Just look at their 2007 - 2010 tours. One word wins me the case: festivals.

Alright, so I've won the debate on the touring schedule. Lets move on to caring about music. The Beatles changed music and made as many albums as Pearl Jam has released before they were 30. Hell, it took three years to make Backspacer and it was 35 minutes long. 35 minutes of music in three years? That means it takes them a year to make 12 minutes of music. We also hear about these short EP's that they might release. That never happens and people are foolish enough to get excited about it here. B sides? Non-existant. Water bottles, lighters, keychains, hoodies, shirts, onesies, wallets, beach towels a plenty on this website. In an age where it is easy to record/release music, we are getting less and less of it from this band. You people act like the band needs a break because it has families, when the truth is that they see their families more than 90% of Americans that work even with their tour schedules.

Hopefully this post kills this stupid thread.

bootlegger10, What's wrong with you? Why are you so angry all of the time? Let it go man. These arguments that you are making/starting are starting to get ridiculous. Just let it go and move on.

bootlegger10, What's wrong with you? Why are you so angry all of the time? Let it go man. These arguments that you are making/starting are starting to get ridiculous. Just let it go and move on.

Nothing is wrong with me. I'd argue that 70% of the non-Kool Aid drinking PJ fans on this board agree with a lot of my posts. I understand why Pearl Jam tours the way it does. The folks with the problem are the ones who don't want to accept why PJ tours the way it does.

If you look at my original posts in most threads, the posts aren't that argumentative. You always skip the first reply posts from other members with the "naive" and "asinine" insults, and then give me a hard time for replying with thought out arguments. Why can't I have an opinion on this board? Is it not allowed? It is okay for me to be insulted, but I can't do it?

Finally, am I wrong in what I said originally? Is it not true PJ tours based on $$$, and that PJ releases very little music??? I guess I just need to bitch about releases like Death on Two Legs that I did not know about 2 months ago and whine and moan about it because I don't have information about it even though I could not even buy it now anyway.

Cameron: You seem like a fan that really likes the band. You post all the time about ancient concerts and you do it diligently. I have nothing against you. Just call out people equally instead of just giving me shit when I reply to people who have insulted me first.

    Bootlegger:

    1. We are all entitled to opinions.

    2. It is not ok to throw insults.

    3. My opinion is that this thread is already full of hot air.

    4. After reading your posts, it is my opinion that you are getting worked up about nothing. It is not my intention to call you out for having an opinion. I just think that the original people that you were commenting to are not listening to your argument, so why waste your time and effort in fighting back so much. It makes you look angry.

    5. I think that we all need to chill out and go back to making fun of this "so-called" release.

    6. I am sorry if you took my comments the wrong way.

I understand. I'll continue to reply though to people who call me asinine or naive just so that this place can still be a place where you can state opinions and defend them against the folks who believe PJ can do no wrong and want to control what is said on the board.

This was not actually that clear in your original post. This sentence makes a lot more sense than your original post (ie. it communicates the point you wanted to make more clearly). I think if you would have written this in your OP instead of what you actually wrote, you would not have had so much trouble. In short, your OP doesn't read as well as this.
    My Pearl Jam shows: 1 in 1995, 2 in 1998, 20 in 2003, 13 in 2006, 3 in 2007, 8 in 2008, 5 in 2009, 4 in 2010, 5 in 2012. EV: 8 in 2011, 1 in 2012. Brad: 1 in 1998, 1 in 2002.
