High school AD fired for sexuality

This is from my home Diocese and is the high school I graduated from. This lady was my Sophmore year Biology teacher and is one of the best people ever. She was instrumental in my personal development. I'm embarassed to be affiliated with this Diocese, the high school, and the Catholic church in large.

    this is absolutely sick and wrong. the message this school seems to be sending is "it is ok to have a job, and it is ok to have a lesbian marriage, but you are not allowed to have both so pick one....." what does her sexuality have to do with how fit she is to hold this position?

    why is it that a catholic school can get away with this? is it because it is not a public school and is not getting state funds? if this were a public high school the ACLU would ba all over this the day it happened...

    to the OP, i am so sorry to see how a woman that had such a positive influence on your life has been treated so poorly and unfairly...it is reasons like this that i refuse to participate in any organized religion and renounced my catholocism 15 years ago...

    poor women, if she was just a priest and liked boy she would not have gotten fired but just moved to another school. yet again no respect for the women out there.
