Just a heads up guys, this is being released as a limited edition 7" and is available for pre-order at the following:

http://www.townsend-records.co.uk/produ ... 97&pType=1

http://www.whatrecords.co.uk/items/56655.htm

What records is doing an offer to save on postage if you have pre-ordered the into the wild re-issue, an email from them reads:

I've just added the new Eddie Vedder single to our site. (Still waiting on the art work)

The single Better Days is released as a Limited Edition Numbered 7 Inch on 20th September.

And now the complicated bit. The album Into the Wild as you know is expected the end of the month. For any customer that has ordered the album from us and would like to save on postage by having the 7 inch sent with the album please purchase the single and Email me your name to say include with the album. I will then only charge £1.00 postage for each single and refund the difference. Told you it was complicated.

If you want the single sent out for release date then please order normally and no need to E mail me.

Please get your order in as soon as possible as I will have limited stocks.

Thanks in advance.

  • You can also pre-order from HMV. It's showing as a Various Artists release on HMV, so when you search use the song title not Eddie Vedder.

Yeah, but that includes shipping. What records is £3.99 + shipping, unless you order it with the ITW vinyl. Still cheaper than the probable £10 - £15 it's gonna be on ebay in a few weeks.

  • Hi folks as I have mentioned in a previous post regarding Whatrecords over here in the U.K. I cant recommend this business enough, absolute top class service, and they take pre:orders. To all U.K collectors ,if you want a trusted trader then this is the one.Excellent (no I dont get discount for this) :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
  • Anyone know which US site has this?
I can't find them when I search SoundStage & Aural Exploits.
Shipping from UK is more than vinyl itself.

I'd go ahead and order it off of What Records before they are all gone and then you will be paying triple what they are selling it for.

Easy Street will probably be selling some in the day's ahead. I think it's a sweet deal buying the Into The Wild vinyl & Better Day's 7" from What Records.

and didn't Easy Street end up charging a lot more for the last vinyl single than everyone else?

I think it was 13 bucks? I don't really remember now. But anything import that was bought/made/received outside the country always sells for much more.
  • Thanks for all the advices.
I ordered ITW from SoundStage in early August when they announced the news.
Interesting that UK always have 7" way before US got any news.
I think I will go ahead buy from HMV or What Records, really don't want to regret it later and pay way more on ebay.

True! Everything released from the Backspacer experience has been manufactured/released out of the UK. Not sure why they don't produce their singles/releases in the heart of the USA. I won't be surprised that it's cheaper to make in the UK. Though I'm kinda shocked! If they wanted to make a shit load of money & save, just have China make your stuff. 10 cents for the product & a few pennies an hour for a worker putting it all together. :|

I don't think it's a cost thing. The UK seems to have a very active 7" market, more so than the US imo.
  • A lot of UK 7" vinyl releases are actually pressed in Belgium, Germany and the Czech republic. It's cheaper to get them pressed in Europe and shipped in, rather than use any UK pressing plants.

I just think it's strange that the whole Backspacer experince is all manufactured in the UK. And that the 10club hasn't said anything official on their website, either by newsletter or front page to let everybody know around the world about these 'offical' single releases that are going on sale. I understand that the US markets aren't doing so well but why not use your own countries resources, that would love some help, business would pick up, then use another countries resources who are pretty much doing fine?

I haven't ordered yet but I have made purchases from What Records and they are top-notch. The shipping to the U.S. is a bit but when isn't it? I'm confident in them.

Tim over @ What Records has been sending out postage refunds for those who already bought Into The Wild vinyl day's ago who also wanted a copy of Ed's Better Day's single.

    Sweet customer service! :)

Still cheaper @ What Records. It's 3.99 GBP = 6.15514 USD there. USA store gotta make profit, as the singles are probably yet again Made in UK.

I was shocked too. 10% I can understand (well on items more then 30 bucks), but for an item that's only 10 bucks, there's a sale of 5%, a saving of just 2 quarters? An online discount?
