How does this man expect to build a mosque? He has serious financial problems and owes 224,000 in taxes. The more I look into this guy and his brother the more I don't trust him. He buys million dollar homes and just a few years ago started out by waiting tables. Something doesn't add up. Does anyone have more solid info on this guy and his brother.

i dunno, maybe consult fox news? i'm sure they have the answers you seek...if not, they will make them up...

i saw an interview with him sunday and he said he has been working on getting this cultural center built there for nearly 8 years and that he has secured the funding.

Secured the funding? C'mon dude. He saved up millions of dollars while he was playing waiter? If so, i'm in the wrong line of work. Fox News are the only ones asking the real questions while the liberal based media, or lame stream media dances around the subject. Wonder why he'll talk to evryone else except for Fox? hmmm :?

Also, your mockery of Fox News is a joke. Maybe I should see what Olbermann has to say.

i would not talk to fox either. they deflect from the main issues and drum up fear amongst it's viewers and instead of report facts they speculate. why would he legitimize that sham of a network by talking to it and answering it's questions? it is proven that fox viewers will not change their views even in the face of indisputable hard facts...ie. obama is a muslim, born in kenya, etc...maybe you should watch the video in the beck thread??

maybe breitbart will write a blog about him and get him deported?

Maybe that's why I posted this, you know, to learn more about the situation. Should've known better I guess. Why don't you debate the issue instead of turning it into a fox thread?

fox has pundits on there all day every day saying he should not build the cultural center at that location. if you were him would you go on that network and try to change minds or get slandered?? it would be like sisiphus pushing that boulder uphill for eternity and would be a waste of his time.

Then why bother to post? It's obvious nobody has anything intelligent to say on the subject. So why not just say " i don't know". Instead of turning it into something else.

I found this on CNN but they still do not ask the real questions.

I am not fully against the mosque. If it's ligit I agree they have a right to build a prayer center. That is what America is about. Bad location, but oh well. But with 9/11 shouldn't we be looking into this guys background and wondering where he got all this money. This guy has spent millions and millions of dollars and just 5 years ago he was a waiter. These are questions that we have the right to ask.

Well gee, i don't know. Maybe we should make sure he doesn't have any ties with extremist groups.

excuse me, nothing intelligent to say? i directed you to fox news because they might be offering different perspectives or answers to your questions. if i did not give a satisfactory answer to your thread why complain? i do plenty of researching myself, but i am not going to do your research and post a bunch of links for you. maybe try papers from outside of your own country like the guardian? if your media is not telling you what you want to know, look elsewhere. google is a good tool...

I would assume that he MAY, because of all this money he is suddenly swimming around in. Not simply because he is muslim.

GST. Islam bad? I have actually supported Islam on other threads while you do not. But not important, doesn't have anything to do with the subject.

Do you want to know where he is getting the money for this 'Mosque' from?
    ...
    Facts:
A major contributor to the Islamic Community Center is the Kingdom Foundation in Saudi Arabia.
The Kindom Foundation is a personal charity of Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal.
Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal is the second largest shareholder of News Corporation.
News Corporation is the parent company of FOX News.
Fox News generates revenue from sponsors of their broadcasts.
Sponsors are attracted to stations because of their higher ratings.
    Ratings are based upon viewership.
    ...
    Therefore...
Since you watch and support Fox News:
    Then,
    Fox News gets higher ratings...
    which attracts sponsors...
    who pays Fox News...
which increases the value of News Corporation stock...
that increases the wealth of Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal...
    who heads the Kingdom Foundation...
that uses the money to contribute funds to the Cordoba Project...
who is planning to build an Islamic Community Center in Manhattan...
that is mistitled as the 'Ground Zero Mosque'.
    ...
Conclusion... On The Edge is funding the 'Ground Zero Mosque'.
