I will be arriving Thursday afternoon from Wisconsin and definitely in for a Friday night party.
...I'm sure all the psychos with their ears pressed up against the Shoreline (so to speak) hoping to catch soundcheck that afternoon would need a drink after dodging security too...
"If you're looking for someone to pull you out of that ditch, you're out of luck."
I will see everyone on the lawn. Bring a jacket, it gets a little chilly at night. And bring some money, the 24oz JUMBO Coronas go down like water, but they are a little expensive. hehehe
Buy your souveniers on day 1, the minute you walk into the venue, because all the good shit will be gone by Sunday.
Thats all I got for ya......
4th trip to The Bridge shows for me. You 1st timers are gonna love it. Just hope you realize this isnt a "rock concert", so to speak. But you will find out for yourselves.
And as far as sitting on the lawn goes? I wouldnt want to sit anywhere else.
Take me piece by piece..... Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....
Here is my take on seats vs. the lawn....Again, this is just my take....After taking 3 trips to the Bridge shows since 2003....
Once you get there and realize this isnt a "rock concert"...Its an event..An event geared towards those children sitting on the stage, you realize that you DONT belong in those seats. At least that how I felt when I had seats. Those seats are for the friends and families of those children. Those seats are for the friends and families of Neil and Peggy Young. Those seats are for the friends and families of the artists performing. Those seats are for the people who donate year round to the Bridge School. Those seats are for the locals.
Those seats ARE NOT FOR ME.
Put me on the lawn, with my friends, and I am happy to be there.

I'm lawn for one day definitely at least... how muddy does it get if it's rainy out?
Sen... Friday night will probably be a San Fran party and the Sat/Sun pre-post parties will probably be at the Sports Page like Chris bonowall mentioned earlier but things are still getting planned out :>
i wish i could be there.. :(

So, now, is the pre-party for Saturday show on Friday night? Are the venues being called? I would like to help out as well.
When you think about it, we have quite a Pearl Jam fan crowd around Bay Area. I don't know why we never get together.
Anyway, back to the main issue at hand. I think there will be some HYDROPHONICS action on Friday night as well.
But please count me in for volunteering.

Too bad, shitload of season ticket holders of Shoreline don't realize that nice thought you got there and sell their tickets to scalper companies where whoever pays the most money get those tickets. At the end, people end up getting those seats mostly are not the ones you want to be sitting on them. Sorry dude, this is not anything against you. That's just how it works unfortunately.

I agree, we need to have more bay area meet-ups! there's so many of us, it would be quite a party!
Ok... loosely speaking here the idea of plans are...
Friday - lunch for those in town
Friday - dinner, then see Zack if rock out if you are interested
or
Friday - dinner, then fundraiser party either at the bar there, or a different bar. We'll need 100+ for sure?
Saturday - preparty, hopefully at Sports Page, 1pm until whenever
Saturday - doors at 5pm
Saturday - post-party bar meet up at ________________?
Sunday - breakfast raffle fundraiser? pre-party? Thoughts?
Sunday - doors at 2pm
Sunday - post-party meet up at ______________?
Chris, Selin, whoever else wants to volunteer... let's coordinate & get this party start riiiiiiiiiiiiiigh!
I will call the Sports Page tomorrow to see what's up. I believe its the same management and since we had a decent turn out in 2006, I cant imagine they would have any issue with us setting up shop outside in "the yard"!
Laura, I will shoot you a note as soon as I had a chance to chat with them about Sat. I can (and will) also ask them about Sunday. I am pretty sure they open early for the football games (just like we did in 2006) so, depending o the crowd, we might be sharing space with locals but hey, it's all good.
I have my Sunday lawn seats locked in - i am still looking to get my lawn seats for Sat and wanted to do the 4 pack deal thats out there - i just can't get three peeps to go in with me. Any takers????
