It was a b-side but never made it on an album.
It is time to admit that we used to rock like hurricanes. It is time to run for the hills and go round and round. It is time for us to shout at the devil. We've got the right to choose it, there ain't no way we'll lose it, and we're not gonna take it anymore.

  • it was originally, but Dave still sang on it. He brought it to the sessions for the next album before Kurt died. Kurt wanted the next album to be completely collaborative as opposed to him writing everything. There's a version of it with Dave singing it on the With The Lights Out box set.

thank you. It has been so long since I have seen the Nirvana boxset. I never bought it. I remember seeing the back and really thinking I more or less had it all except for the few studio songs (exclusing the acoustic demos) and I just bought those couple of songs on itunes.

  • The song that Nirvana put out IS the version with Dave singing. Kurt sang background vocals.

  • I didn't realize it was an official release. I always thought it was something that Dave brought to the studio for the follow up to IU but obviously never happened.

It was a demo for what would become the first Foo Fighters record. I have heard the demo so I know it was re-recorded as a b-side. I'm pretty sure it was recorded during the In Utero sessions. It was the b-side to All Apologies. Mr. Grohl and the Foo Fighters covered it on the Skin and Bones CD/DVD release, too.

they played it during the acoustic portion of their sets in 2008 (aside from the full blown acoustic tour).

    It's a Great song.

  • it's weird for me to consider it a "cover", as it's Dave singing on both the Nirvana and Foo versions! ;)
