This album kicks major ass!!!

Comatose, Severed Hand, Big Wave and Army Reserve- once despised by me but now have won me over...they're great songs now!!!

Sorry for bashing it awhile back before this tour. I missed out on the '06 tour... :(

I've loved this album since day 1. It's was so good to see that the guys could still bring it, and I'm hoping the next effort can deliver the same results. My favorites are probably Severed Hand, Marker in the Sand, Unemployable, and Army Reserve.

And Inside Job is a great opener!

There are a lot of Come Back and Parachutes haters, but I like both songs and really want to see them live.

I've always loved the album. It has a certain vibe to it that their other stuff doesn't have. I can't really put my finger on it.

Why does it always take you fuckers years to like albums.. I love the album usually after week two... Binaural, Riot Act, all hated until recently, now loved.. go figure.. Pearl Jam puts out good shit no matter what, rain or shine..

I've been posting here longer than I'd like to admit, but if for the next album, I hear how much it sucks and how much Binaural and Riot Act are the shit,.. you fuckers are going to get bitch slapped. :p

I think Comeback has more longevity vs Parachutes, but both great.
It took me a while to come around to Riot Act, but I think this I considered pretty good to start with, and has only gotten better with age.

Well, the first 5 studio clicked with me so easily but they've totally changed their style so, it's takes awhile...

Took me 8 years to really love Binaural. :o And now only two years for Avocado.

As far as Riot Act is concern...well, I'm working on that. ;)

Hehe, Binaural is my third favorite as well right behind No Code and Yield.

Avocado might be fourth now after being at the basement. ;)

I liked this album right out of the gates. Can't say the same about Riot Act. Took me a while to get into.

It is just a well put together album.

Severed hand just flat out rocks. I love the guitar throughout the 2nd verse.

I really do not get that at all. Comeback is by far my fav on the album. The others on the album I really like are Wasted Reprise, Inside Job, and Gone. The rockers on the album were not very good to me. My least favorite Pearl Jam album but I love Comeback. I do not get the hate for that song at all. Parachutes shouldn't get hate either. I can stand that song.

I think it is by far their best album of this century and stands with their best work. Both Binaural and Riot Act have their moments, but this album just plain rocks.

"Gone" is one of my favorite PJ songs. I'm probably in the minority there, but I love it. When the started it in West Palm Beach, the guy behind me, said something like "oh, come on!" and sat down.

I really hit my stride on this album on this tour as well. I liked it from the begining, but got a bit worn out on it on the 06 tour. Now that we only get 4 or 5 tracks a night at most, it sounds great and certain tracks (Severed Hand, Comeback, Army Reserved) have settled nicely into my PJ classics list.
"Stunned by my own reflection, It's looking back, sees me too clearly and I swore I'd never go there again, Not unlike a friend that politely drags you down, down, down"

When you see me on the street, yell out "FAVO!!!"

I've been to alot of Pearl Jam shows; So fucking what.

I completely agree man. I came away from last weekend shaking my head on hearing some of the new stuff I'd dismissed outright on first listen.

I'd welcome a show of nothing but Riot Act and Avocado! :)

I really enjoy this album and still look forward to hearing them play anything from it in concert (Harford Big Wave got me at least one version of each song). I think this album plays very well and all the songs are good but I dont know if it has a top 5 or even top 10 Pearl Jam song on it. If I were to rank them in order, It would be this....

13. Army Reserve
12. Wasted Reprise
11. Gone
10. Inside Job
9. World Wide Suicide
8. Big Wave
7. Severed Hand
6. Unemployable
5. Comatose
4. Marker in the Sand
3. Parachutes
2. Life Wasted
1. Come Back
let the ocean...

It really is a truly solid rock record. Made me feel a bit like when I bought Yield. Even the songs I didn't care for that much (read Parachutes, Army Reserve) I have grown to really like. I rarely take this cd out of my car. I love it.
