its better than many of the alternatives. "Pearl Jam fans" is boring. is a singular member of the Jamily a "Jammer"/"Jammess"?

Jamily is still better than Jammer... Jammer is just WRONG in my opinion.
I smile, but who am I kidding...
  • 'Jammer' sounds... how do I put this?... Forceful.
'Jammess' sounds like a mess... of jam... said quickly.
'Jam-head' sounds like a sexual fetish.

Personally, I like 'Jamily' but more often than not I won't use it outside of these forums. I tend to say 'Midlands Tenclub contingent', 'London Tenclub' etc. even if the people i'm talking about aren't tenclub members. I just find it easier... but that's me :o

and what is wrong with that? :D

Pearl Jam's music puts me in a euphoric, orgasmic state and really "gets me off" so i think it's perfect!! :):):)

From this day on I will title myself a Jam-head and start wearing black tight leather suits.

i dunno, i like the word "jamily". i really do feel like this is a family, we can count on each other to be there for each other, ie: if someone want a ticket/rideshare/poster/etc, there will be someone on this board willing to happily give what they can. we all get each other and our obsession and it's pretty cool to share something as wonderful as pearl jam with someone else who actually gets it :)

'jamily' represents the closeness and spontaneous bond fans have with each other.. jammer? yea so you play in a band??? Jamily means pearl jam family.

just to change it up, let's try working with "Pearl" instead of "Jam" ... let's see ...

    Pearlies (nah, rhymes with girlies)
Pearlamily (i can't even pronounce that)
Pearl Necklace (my brother tells me that's kinda dirty)

So maybe we can combine the PJ ...

PJ O'Malley (already taken by the pub around the corner)
PJamily (sounds like a pajama fiesta)
PJ Nation (at least something with promise!)

Screw this. I'm going with The Avacadoes. Deal with it. Rock and roll.
Rise. Life is in motion. I'm stuck in line.
Oh rise. You can't be neutral on a moving train.

it started before '05. i've been on these forums (different versions) since 2000 and i remember it being said back then.

I don't mind Jamily when I'm talking on here or something. I usually find myself referring to us fans as Jammers or Jam Head's when talking to other people.

If I ever say it outloud, I do the air quotes so they know its a loosely used term.

yeah i could never get into the whole jamily thing. Sounds to much like the GDF (grateful dead) and Phamily (Phish) crap i used to run into.
Hows about just PJammers? Kinda sounds like a wierd pee fetish i guess.
Im a million miles away from home and I cant find a telephone...
  • My girl and I moved our dining room set out, and made it a 'jamily room'. We set up a nice cool place to hang. We're both musicians, so we have our acoustic guitars, a few of my basses, my amp, and my bongos out, and we put posters all over the wall. We also sometimes call it the 'voodoo lounge'
