"Mmmmm. Your dirt is my fucking food."
I pledge to you a government that will not only work well, but wisely, its ability to act tempered by prudence, and its willingness to do good, balanced by the knowledge that government is never more dangerous than when our desire to have it help us blinds us to its great power to harm us.

I can identify with the lyrics in so many songs. Some songs seem so personal and meaningful to me. Some of the themes & lyrics mimic feelings & chapters of my life so remarkably, that they appear to be written for me or about me - not just ev's but Stone's & even a Matt song or two.
I'm not delusional, so I realize it is just a coincidence. But what a wonderful and mystical experience it is to listen to so many songs that are not only musically brilliant, but relevant to my life in so many ways.

Because their live performances sound better than their recorded versions and you can't call yourself a band unless you do this

Because of their dedication to teach others how to speak up through their voices and music

    Because they love US

Because Mike makes that thing sing!

    Because Eddie is damn cute.

Because they will always be one of the best R N R bands that have ever lived.

Because I've invested too much money, time and energy in making them a part of my life to just let it go.
I will hold the candle until it burns up my arm. I'll keep taking punches until their will grows tired. I will stare the sun down until my eyes go blind. I won't change direction and I won't change my mind.

"Sponsors -- there are no fucking sponsors. You know, you're put in a position and people call you a role model. (Someone from crowd screams out, "Fuck that.") Fuck that. Just set an example, I guess."

They have. And they've set the bar for what bands can and should be, if they're so willing and committed.
