Carlos Santana has another guest lead singer album coming out, a couple of tunes may have some promise: Chris Cornell, Scott Weiland....

But come on! Scott Stapp on Fortunate Son? Will he ever try to get out of PJ's shadow?

Creed isn't a favorite of mine, and I can't stand Stapp, but Mark is a great guitarist, everyone else in the band is average or below, and Stapp's voice now sounds worse than it did before. Tremonti needs to leave that band, he is wasting his talent.

The real deluxe version would have that track omitted

Everyone is washed up on the album except for the guy you like.

Billboard charts are full of crap music, but when Pearl Jam is on the list it is the one time that good music is on the charts.

Newsflash: If you think ten of the 11 singers on the album are washed up, then the 11th one is washed up too. If Billboard only has pop crap make the top ten, then when Pearl Jam makes the top ten it was for a pop crap song. You can't have it both ways.

What if I thought half of them were washed up?

There's worse on this album for sure, but I think Cornell is the most washed up person on this album, next to Santana of course. That guy just sucks a hard one.

Well, most of them aren't really washed up. They were never to clean to begin with. And Santana...Do I really need to explain that after his modern work.
  • Cornell's newest solo album is terrible. I'll give you that. But "sucks a hard one"? A bit harsh I think. Live, with a rock band, he kills. I've seen him with SG, Audioslave, and solo, and his voice has kicked my ass every time (actually, the show with SG back in 95 was probably his worst sounding vocal performance of them all).

Santana sucks the hard one. I think Cornell still kicks quite a bit. I do have to roll my eyes when people say he nailed everything at the recent SG gigs, but thats some hard shit to sing

he wrote some great riffs in my opnion. Not trying to talk trash but you have a picture of jimmy page up in your profile who stole a lot of Zeppelins classic riffs from jazz musicians.

The riffs that Jimmy Page stole have more originality than anything Tremonti's ever done.

And as if that wasn't enough:

Riders On the Storm featuring Chester Bennington

    Seriously now?

Little Wing featuring Joe Cocker might be interesting, though.

    Edit:
Under the Bridge featuring Andy Vargas

    Who's Andy Vargas? :?

For some reason ESPN found him worthy of an article. Apparently he's a baseball fan. Stop the press.

Yeah, there is an undertone of glee, isn't there?
I feel no glee. I feel embarrassed. This is all SO bad, and so fucking PUBLIC, which is perhaps more where the "glee" is coming from. Just a lot of rubbernecking. And I'll admit it's hard to look away when someone famous has such a momentous breakdown and posts crazy video confessions, etc. This isn't you ordinary, everyday drug induced psychosis - Stapp has taken it to the next level - so I guess people are just imageimageimage. Human nature, really.
Anyone actually revelling in this specifically because it's the lead singer Creed and they are natural enemies with Creed because they are PJ fans, lol, well, that's icky.
