Yeah, it is getting pretty fucking ridiculous. I totally understand eliminating the head shots where guys are leading w/ their helmets. But a lot of these plays are just good football hits and they are throwing flags and fining these guys.0 -

i agree with you. it is almost as if the ref's are trying to be too perfect and just throw the flag first, ask questions later.
more coaches should speak up like this so the competition committee, which consists of coaches/gms/and owners, listens.
here is who the committee consists of. maybe people should write them strongly worded letters:
The committee, which studies all aspects of the game and recommends rules and policy changes to NFL clubs, consists of the following members:
Rich McKay Atlanta Falcons Chairman
Stephen Jones Dallas Cowboys
Marvin Lewis Cincinnati Bengals
John Mara New York Giants
Ozzie Newsome Baltimore Ravens
Bill Polian Indianapolis Colts
Rick Smith Houston Texans
The Coaches' Subcommittee, which makes recommendations to the Competition Committee, consists of the following current and former NFL head coaches:
John Madden Chairman
John Harbaugh Baltimore Ravens
Mike Holmgren Cleveland Browns
Sean Payton New Orleans Saints
Andy Reid Philadelphia Eagles
Steve Spagnuolo St. Louis Rams
Mike Tomlin Pittsburgh Steelers
Norv Turner San Diego Chargers

Looks like the team who made the most sense to go to LA is staying put. Who's it gonna be?0 -
This has come as quite a shock (the Jaguars being sold). I wonder if they're really going to stay in Jacksonville. Good riddance to Del Rio thoughWe were but stones your light made us stars0

Yeah, I mean sounds like the guy has made a committment to stay, but we'll see how far that goes once he owns the team and sees the money he could make in LA. Should be interesting.0 -

How a team remains in Jacksonville and LA still does not have a team is a mystery to me.0 -

Probably not a good sign for the Texans if Delhomme is supposed to be the savior..0
