$578 MILLION SCHOOL in my 'hood

Since moving to crusty Mid Wilshire/Koreatown at the end of 2007, a massive construction project has been underway two blocks from my apartment. The site of the Ambassador Hotel (where RFK was shot, where the Cocoanut Grove Nightclub used to be) has been transformed into the most expensive school building in U.S. history:

That bit about Donald Trump wanting to build the word's tallest building there made me groan.
