I got Gallup polled

last night. they asked a LOT of questions. First they just asked me if I was satisfied or dissatisfied with President Obama and about my political leanings and I thought that would pretty much be it, but then they asked about my job, my health, if I'm stressed, if I eat vegetables, if I have knee pain, how many kids I have, whether I'm married, if I've ever been diagnosed with cancer, if I have enough money to buy food, if my boss treats me like "boss" or like a "partner", if I laughed yesterday, what my race was, if I were religious, if I feel safe in my neighborhood, if I can find a safe place to exercise in my neighborhood, if I'm overall satisfied with my life, they even asked what my height and weight were!

It was a strange experience. But the guy called right after I had come *this* close to a nervous breakdown at work and when he asked if I feel stress I was like "YES!!!!!" haha he also seemed surprised when I said I ate fruits and vegetables 7 out of the last 7 days.

haha not really, but it was nice of someone to finally ask :)

I do think the weirdest question may have been if I suffer from knee pain. Obviously they were looking mainly into the subject of health/healthcare, but I thought that was really specific!

That's what I thought....I'm polite to telemarketers but I cut them off real fast. Those are too many questions, I would have asked them how much they'd pay per question!

we were getting called left and right by the siding companies after a storm. so i started asking if they were aware they were calling numbers that were on the do not call list. that shut them up real quick.

It's also good to start speaking another language, or hissing like a cobra.

I love when they call my mom, she tells them "I don't speak English". But she says it IN english

I signed up ages ago for the Comcast deal for cable, internet and phone only because it was cheaper if you got the phone # too. I never actually hooked up a phone, and I couldn't even tell you what phone number they gave me. Anyway, I was on their website a few weeks back and discovered that I can listen to my voice mails left at that number.... it was all collection calls for people I've never heard of, and Gallup polls. I'm not going to run out and buy a land line phone anytime soon, I can tell you that.

well first of all, no one could rob you based on the questions that are asked (are you satisfied with the President and are fruits and vegetables affordable in your city are not exactly like asking for your credit card number), secondly I could tell right away that the guy was very professional, third, if you google the number that called, it is indeed Gallup in Omaha, NE.

I didn't get the Gallup call on a land line, I only have a cell phone. I don't know where they get the numbers, I assume voter registration or something.
