Question: Isn't MSG 9-11-98 the all-time best?
From someone who has (unfortunately) attended only a handful of shows, but has listened plenty of boots, has there been a show better than this one?
I did not attend but in listening to this one versus a lot of shows from 1992 through 2007, the stars seemed perfectly aligned that evening. I never tire of listening to it. And everytime I do, I feel like I am right there. And it's like I am hearing Breath played live for the very first time.

Looks like we are going to all the same shows this tour! I'll be the 6'5" guy with long hair(maybe) ruining the view of the people behind me.

do you have the dvd? its great to watch too!!! its one of the best shows ever, no question
I always feel bad for whoever is behind me, and I always try to stand to one side or the other to try to not totally block them, but what can I do.
I may do Hartford too, but that will be a gameday decision.

Bootlegs were just more elusive back then so when I listened to it I was instantly blown away. Personally I am glad shows are easier to come by nowadays but back then it was like finding the ultimate diamond in the rough.
Plus, something about Yield, the year 1998 and the band's seeming excitement about performing live again, the unearthing of old songs, just made it. To this day, it's the one for me although I def agree that all the others above are in my all-time greats.
How do I find the DVD?
eddie climbing up the wire to the lighting / rigging up inside the rafters of the garden.
fucking nut.
That it ain't no sin to be glad you're alive

Greatest show ever!
Some cool highlights of the 9/10/98 show.
1.) The "Breath" signs were in full effect, I had a floor seat and was surrounded by them. They commented that Stone forgot how to play it or something.
2.) The Ken Star Files bit was actually really funny.
3.) The songs that did not suffer from equipment problems or Stone forgetting a solo (All those Yesterdays) were some of the best performances of those particular songs I've heard them play. Jeremy, Long Road and Alive were particulary good. During the end of Alive everybody was screaming "yeah, Yeah, Yeah" while Ed pumped his fist in the air.
From the shows I've been to I would rank the best as 9/29/96, even though the sound system they were using was not the best (I remember my friend commenting the system he had in his Impalla was better) the vibe from the crowd and especially the band made the concert one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Ed singing and waving to the throngs of fans who were standing at the toll plaza of the Tri-Borough bridge above right of the stage was very memorable. When you thought they were wrapping up, they would keep playing, and playing. Awesome show!
