then why say he`looked like a girl just cause he had long hair?
he never said that.
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.
when he was talking in the video, his face does look like a girl.
if the policy about a certain hair length (on males) is in writing at that school, then mom is violating the policy.
she should change schools if she's not having his hair cut. I realized that after I posted.
but I think it is stupid to have a hair length rule. if it is a safety issue, then no student should be allowed, not just guys.

pfft dunk thats`like`assuming anyone who wears a skirt is a girl.
what's with your apostrophes? or quotey things... they are all over the place?
who cares about apostrophes?? im talking about long hair not being necessarily a girlie thing and you prefer to deflect than answer me.
you prefer to argue against an observation someone made... wrongly.
If i saw a young kid walking up the street right now and I saw their hair was 3 foot long i might think that person, at first glance, was a girl. I might be wrong or i might have been right with my guess... but fact is the boy looked like a girl.... i might see a guy wearing an SS uniform, sporting a gelled down side parting and a small comical moustache and think he was a nazi sympathiser... he might be an actor going to the theatre in his work outfit... but he'd still look like a Nazi.

god damn funny

its a public fucking school, correct?
so you think public schools should have no rules? not sure where you are from but in Philly area many public schools have dress codes these days and i know in my area all cell phones are prohibited in schools. if the rule is written then can't see why there is an argument here.
I guess if you sign your kid up to go to a school, and the school has established policies about clothing, hair, etc. the expectation is that you are going to abide by that policy. Or, actively work to change it from the inside once you're there _ but you should anticipate that you're going to pay a price for violating the policy. Even if it's a stupid, antiquated policy smacking of gender bias.
But this looks like a public school district. Thus they are obligated to provide education for every child in that community. Including boys with long hair and girls with short hair.
My hair is very short. I'm a girl. If I went to school there, would I be expected to let my hair grow to what the school board considers an appropriate length for a female?

i dont even own a cell phone so that is a bullshit rule i do not need.
next rule, hair cut length on all males... this sucks nuts.
it's a public fucking school.
accept my looks or ... or.... or else
the school district this young man attends, or rather, attended, is ran by southern redneck dickwads

Cate... when the guy saw the video he thought the boy was a girl... he's very young, has feminine features and has a lot of long hair... he looks like a girl.
end of fucking story.
just as Nick Nolte looks like a vagrant hobo tramp but is actually a multi-millionaire actor who lives in a big house.

... when I first saw him on the video, I thought he was a girl
so thinking he was a girl isnt the same as thinking he looked like a girl???
I said he looked like a girl, so yes, I thought he was a girl based on his appearance.
but... I NEVER said that he "looked like a girl just cause he had long hair". You made that part up.

so apparantly you do think public schools should have no rules? just because they are obligated to provide education to every child doesn't mean there shouldn't be rules for children.
When i was 18, my mom offered me 1,000.00 dollars to cut my hair, i refused, WTF was i thinking?
Did she put an expiration date on the offer or can you still try to collect?

thank you unlost dogs.
public school systems are obligated to teach our children.
hair length for male students is a chicken shit rule.
the head of this school district should be reprimanded for his/her wrongdoings.
Long hair on boys should not be a problem - it's just like girls having long hair. I see it all the time at the high school wear I live - I think their cute....
Cell phones at school - not thats a different issue - too many problems, interupting the class, cheating on tests, taking photo's in gym lockers and sending on the internet. I have heard too many stories....
Sorry - but no cell phones at school. Just my opinion.
So...the military requires women to 'not have hair past their shoulders' and I knew several women with long hair who were serving. They said that they can have their long hair, they just have to wear it up in a bun.
Problem solved, make the kid wear his hair up, then it won't be past his shoulders.
Realistically, the school if it is public and has all those rules on hair for boys, is probably in the 'Bible Belt'. They are probably going to claim 'it is a distraction to the other children', which is BS because there are all sorts of distractions in class, it's only a big deal when you make it out to be one. What happened to all those schools that banned mini skirts on boys and the boys went to school in miniskirts? What about all the schools that don't allow homosexual PDA? ACLU comes a knockin' faster than you can say 'suspended'.
Long hair/short hair, let the kid get his education.
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.
