so...who's going to ACL this year?

my wife & i are making our annual trip, but this year will be a little bit different. we passed on the 3-day passes...and after seeing the lineup, we feel we made the right choice! but we're going to go on Friday & my good friend & collaborator, Chris (2-feign-reluctance here on the board) are going to meet up for the first time! he & his wife are flying down from Columbia, MO & we're all looking forward to having a great weekend in one of the best music cities around. Chris & I are going to *try* to play somewhere that weekend...even if it's an open mic. it just has to happen.

yeah...last year had Pearl Jam. and it was amazing. this years headliner...The Eagles??? HUH? so we're looking into the aftershows that were released today & it looks like we may try to hit the Black Keys show @ Stubb's on Saturday. also tempted by the Monsters of Folk show on Friday...hmmm.

so...who else is going? who do you want to see? are you disappointed with the lineup? are you hoping that the triple digit temps are gone by then???

Most likely going to go Sat. I'm not into Muse but definitely want to see The XX, LCD Soundsystem, Deadmau5, Pat Green, and MIA.

As for the pre/aftershows: Oakenfold, Sonic Youth or Deadmau5. If I can stay up that late for them :-).
