Vs. Today

I was listening to Vs. the last couple of days and can't believe how modern this album is. I think they should rerelease it with some new artwork or something. I would stand in line for it. I feel the younger listener would really enjoy these songs if they knew about it now. It seems to be the most diverse album. It makes me want to take my 33 year old but out and skateboard with the kids and I don't even know how.

Their best freshest sounding album to date. Post-punk and metal without sounding hokey or butt-rock. Just a perfect piece of music. Both Versus and Vitalogy would past the "cool" test today and get probably some serious Indie Buzz if it was originally released in the current climate

It's currently my favorite album right now, mainly because of the season and the tour. That album just gets you excited and animated!!!! :p

Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

its got the most "teeth" overall of any PJ album i think; go, animal, glorified g, blood, rvm, leash. some good hard rockers on there

I remember getting the album one or two days after it came out.

actually, my mom picked it up after work - I was in junior high at the time and she wanted to surprise me. she went into some store (Flipside?) and the guys working the record store gave her a look and said "You like Pearl Jam?" and she listed the tracklist of Ten off the top of her head to throw them off guard.

Haven't listened to it in a while... think I'm gonna do that right now.

The first CD I ever owned. My wife bought it for me for Christmas '93 and we didnt even have a CD player.

after "so many years" i still think this album is fresh. And i hate when somebody try to compare this to anything else.

Yeah, if they re-released it now and acted like it was new, all these Linkin Park, Nickelback, and all those other new crap band loving dorks would probably love it.
