Dumbest guitar question ever?

Do certain types of acoustic guitars suit playing with a pick and do others suit playing without one? While I'm on a roll, do you wait until your fingers are fully in position before the strum or can the strum happen as the fingers are being positioned?

You'll get the timing down. It sounds stupid, but its like riding a bike. Classical guitars are usually fingerpicked, while steel strings are for both!
